TREBINJE CLASSIC
INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION
The first festival/competition started in 2023 as an idea of piano professor and pianist Sonja Marković and director of the Music School Dušanka Babić, based in Trebinje. Great support in the organization was also provided by Dragomir Bratić, professor of Music School "Davorin Jenko" in Belgrade.
The festival was held in three locations in its first year:
The Music School, the Trebinje City Museum and the Trebinje Cultural Center, which owns a Steinway D model piano.
The city of Trebinje was one of the partners, and "Piano Land" was a Friend of the Festival.
The first edition of the festival opened with a concert by the duo Sonja Markovic (BiH) and Dragomir Bratic (Serbia) and Russian pianist Natalie Trull, professor at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
The large turnout of candidates testifies to the professional organization of the competition and its top level. Over 200 competitors competed in 12 categories for the "Golden Leotard" award in 2024.
The expert jury worked for three days in the composition of:

ORGELPUNKT
The Citizens' Association "Orgelpunkt" was founded in 2022 with the aim of promoting and supporting
artistic creation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Goals and tasks of the Association:
Participation in the formation of cultural policy that will enable the comprehensive development of music, drama,
fine art, dance, filmmaking and artistic creation in general as cultural
program.
· Organizing educational, artistic and cultural programs with the aim of developing promotion,
exchange and popularization of art and culture;
· Organizing artistic activities of all kinds from the spheres of drama, music, art, film and
theatrical arts.
· Organizing festivals, concerts, plays, artistic performances, music and stage shows
works, exhibitions, art colonies, competitions, seminars, music, dance and drama workshops and
art camps;
· Organizing excursions and trips with the aim of promoting and developing artistic activities, but also
development of educational activity in the sphere of art and culture;
· Organizing and implementing activities for the promotion, popularization and development of artistic
creativity and art in general among children and young people, people with special needs and socially
vulnerable persons.
· Organizing and implementing educational activities in all spheres of art with the aim of development
arts and education of persons from educational, cultural institutions, as well as institutions dedicated to
work for the socially vulnerable, the disabled, religious organizations, etc.
· Publishing of musical, musical-scenic works, dramatic and other publications, own
publication with the aim of popularizing art;
· Publishing books, magazines, professional papers, printed publications and other forms, including
production of digital media formats with the aim of education and development of artistic and cultural
content but also educational content from the sphere of art.
Recording and public broadcasting on all media (television, online and digital platforms, radio)
transmission, publishing of CDs and other sound and image carriers), projects from the music industry and activities
Associations in general.
· Organizing various types of artistic and cultural activities with the aim of raising funds
for scholarships for talented children, young artists in competitions, training, education
at home and abroad;
· Organizing various types of artistic and cultural activities with the aim of raising funds
for equipping educational and cultural institutions, with the aim of creating the best possible conditions for
development and implementation of cultural and artistic programs, as well as educational programs in the field of
art;
· Collecting sponsorship and donation payments to help individuals from the arts and
cultural life;
· Organizing charity concerts and other events that require organization
musical and stage performances, performing other goals and tasks of public importance in accordance with
the law, the Statute and other general acts of the Association;
· Participation in proposing legal and other regulations related to music and art in general
activity, primarily for the purpose of improving the position of artists; Advocating for the realization of rights
artists to collect royalties and their professional engagements in the country and
abroad.
